MOLD How to Prevent it and How to Remove it

By Moshe Farache

Hypoluxo mold remediation includes laying down plastic drop clothes and also dust curtains due to the need to be able to facilitate the prevention of the spread of the spores of mold and dust particles during the process of the project. To facilitate the clean up, the mold remediation area and work area are fully isolated. It is necessary that any building occupants, especially the patients, be prevented from being exposed to any airborne mold spores and dust particles both during the time of and after the remediation.

The next part of the process entails the removal and disposal of all sheets of drywall that have been infested with mold. Any growth of mold that is discovered on wood studs must be wiped away and cleaned with a diluted solution of bleach. After the mold removal has been completed, the crew must be careful to ensure the clean up of all remaining dust particles and spores of mold. They will then proceed on to the sanitization of the area. The crew will identify and eliminate the source of moisture that is causing the growth of the mold before the installation of the new drywall. It must be stated that if the source of moisture is not dealt with, the mold problems are likely to recur.

Due to the increased knowledge of mold and the negative effects of it, more of today's building owners and managers are requesting mold resistance for new constructions and retrofits. This is an excellent way to help to prevent mold from entering new buildings and to prevent it from returning to existing properties. Involved in this process is the examination of the kind of vapor retarders and insulations, assemblies for wall and proficiency for systems. This will undoubtedly aid in mold prevention
